Santa Clara-based Provigent said Monday that it has upped its fourth round of funding to $20M. The firm said that additional capital came from Stata Venture Partners, an existing investor in the firm. Stata had earlier invested $1M in Provigent's fourth round. Provigent has previously received investments fromSequoia Capital, Pitango Venture Capital, Globespan Capital Partners, Ascend Technology Ventures, Magma Venture Partners, Delta Ventures, and Dr. Andrew Viterbi, co-founder of QUALCOMM. Provigent develops systems on a chip (SoC) products for the broadband wireless industry. The first close of the firm's fourth round was announced in March of 2007.
