Lightspeed Closes $800M Fund
Menlo Park-based venture capital firm Lightspeed Venture Partners said today that it has closed LightSpeed Venture Partners VIII, an $800M venture capital fund. The new fund will focus on seed and early stage companies in the information technology and cleantech markets. According to Lightspeed, the new fund brings its total committed capital to over $2B. The firm said its initial target size was $675M for the fund.
