Brisbane, California-based Glam Media, which operates a network of content websites focused on women, said today that it has launched a new video distribution and advertising platform. The firm said its GlamTV Platform will let its network publishers package its content with advertising. The new video ad service will support overlays, co-roll, mid- or pre-roll, sponsorship, and other video ads through its own proprietary ad server. Glam is tapping Ooyala for its video management platform, and Brightcove for its video distribution services.
