Los Gatos-based Tigo Energy said today that it has raised $6M for its technology for improving efficiency in commercial and residential solar installations. Tigo said the round came from Matrix Partners and OVP Venture Partners, who co-led the round. Tigo Energy was co-founded by Sam Arditi and Ron Hadar; the firm's technology is sold to energy providers, solar panel manufacturers, and system integrators. Arditi was formerly a VP at Intel Corporation and founder of CTP Systems; Hadar was founder of Tenta Technology, which was acquired by MKS Instruments.
