Aurora Biofuels Raises $20M
Alameda-based Aurora Biofuels said Tuesday that it has raised $20M in a second round. The round came from Oak Investment Partners, and also included Gabriel Venture Partners and Noventi. Aurora said the funding would go to expand its field operations. Aurora Biofuels is developing biofuel technology based on growing algae, which produces bio-oil which can be converted into biofuels. The round brings the company's total raised to $23.2M.
