Mountain view-based ShotSpotter said today that it has raised $7.5M in a Series D funding round. ShotSpotter said the round was led by The Westly Group, and also included Norwest Venture Partners, Broidy Capital Management, Band of Angels, City Light Capital, Claremont Creek Ventures, Labrador Ventures, Lauder Partners and Levensohn Venture Partners. ShotSpotter develops hardware that can be used to find and locate gunfire, for public safety and the military. The company said the funding will go towards market expansion internationally and for unspecified "strategic purposes."
