TIBCO Buys Analytics Software Firm
Palo Alto-based TIBCO said today that it has acquired Insightful Corporation, a Seattle-based developer of predictive analytics and data mining software. TIBCO said it will pay $1.87 per share in cash, or a total of approximately $25M, for Insightful. Insightful will become a wholly owned subsidiary of TIBCO. According to TIBCO, the deal is expected to close during its fiscal third quarter.
