Venture capital fund Bessemer Venture Partners has created a new advisory group for its Indian arm, the firm said last week. The venture firm said that it has tapped Sridar Iyengar, former CEO of KPMG India; Rama Bijapurkar, author of Winning in the Indian Market and a faculty member at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad; Rajeev Chitrabhanu, CEO and Managing Director of JM Financial Services Private Limited; and Mr. M.K. Sharma, retired Vice-Chairman of Hindustan Unilever Ltd, to its advisory board on investments in the country. Bessemer said now has a 14 person team in Mumbai, and has made 21 investments in India companies over the last four years.
