Google Buys Russian Advertising Firm
Mountain View-based Google said this morning that it has signed an agreement to acquire ZAO Begun, a Russian context advertising service, in a deal worth $140M. According to Google, the deal with Rambler Media will improve the firm's service to users, partners, and advertisers in Russia. According to Google, the deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2008. Google said the move will give its advertisers access to a broader network of sites, and a wider set of advertisers for publishers.
