San Jose-based Cisco said today that it is in a deal to purchase Pure Networks, a Seattle provider of home networking management software and tools. Cisco said it would pay approximately $120M for all shares of Pure Networks. Pure Networks' products are used to help users set up and manage their home networks; the firm is currently partnered with Cisco to provide the Linksys Easy Link Advisor software. Cisco said that Pure Networks will remain in Seattle, and will be integrated into its Linksys division.
