SpeedDate.com Picks Up $6M
San Mateo-based SpeedDate.com, an online speed dating service, said Thursday that the firm has raised $6M in a Series B funding. The round came from Menlo Ventures. SpeedDate.com operates an online speed dating service, which allows users to arrange online, web-camera enabled speed dating sessions. The firm said the funding will go to grow its user base, expand operations, and enhance the site's functionality. SpeedDate.com competes against other online speed dating sites, including WooMe and Camlink.
