Google Launches US Voting Site
Mountain View-based Google launched a new voter information site today, targeted at helping voters find their voting locations and other voting information. The new voting site uses Google Maps to pinpoint voting locations, and also provides information about absentee ballots in each state. The firm said it was assisted in the site by League of Women Voters, the Pew Charitable Trusts, and others involved in the Voting Information Project.
