SolarCity Raises $30M
Foster City-based SolarCity has scored $30M in a funding round, from First Solar Inc. and Draper Fisher Jurvetson, the firm said Wednesday. According to First Solar and Solarcity, the investment included $25M from First Solar, and is a part of a module supply agreement. The firms said that First Solar will provide 100MW of its thin film solar modules to SolarCity, which is a residential solar installer with operations in California, Arizona, and Oregon.
