Three Rings Rolls "Whirled"
San Francisco-based massively multiplayer online games developer Three Rings announced today that the firm has rolled out a new virtual world, Whirled, targeted at business. According to the firm, the new service allows users to upload Flash games and to create their own virtual worlds, and also featuers access to APIs, example code, and other features geared at software developers. According to Three Rings, the new player-created virtual world is designed to allow game develops and flash designers to sell virtual goods and custom games on the site. The firm is backed by Amicus Capital, Arba Seed Investment Group, Chance Technologies, Mercury Capital Partners, and True Ventures.
