Mountain View-based search engine Google said this morning that it has released a new version of the firm's 3D modeling tool, Google SketchUp. According to the firm, the new version, SketchUp 7, now makes it easier for users to share their models with other users, with a "Google Docs"-style sharing feature; support for multi-page documents, and "Dynamic Components" which are easier for new modelers to work with. Google's SketchUp software is used to model 3D environments, and is used heavily with the firm's Google Earth software.
