Techmeme Shifts Into Manual
Technology news aggregation site Techmeme has decided to add a human element to the firm's site, saying Wednesday that the site has hired on Megan McCarthy to help edit the site's list of stories. In explaining the move, the site said that automated news "doesn't quite work." The site said that it was time for a more "edited" Techmeme, where obsolete stories will be eliminated sooner, and breaking stories will be expedited. McCarthy has worked at Wired.com, The Rose and Crown, and other news organizations.
