SV Life Sciences Hires Three
San Francisco- and Boston-based venture capital firm SV Life Sciences said Monday that it has hired three new Venture Partners at the firm. According to the firm, it has hired Sarah Bodary, Ph.D., and Gary Velasquez to its San Francisco offiecs, and Kevin Barrett to its Boston offices. Bodary will focus on biotechnology; Velasquez and Barrett will focus on health care serviecs. Bodary joins from Genentech; Velasquez was most recently at Synarc; Barrett was a founding partner at Commonwealth Health Partners. SV Life Sciences invests in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, healthcare IT technology, and related areas, and has approximately $1.6B under management in five funds.
