SGI Slashes 225 Employees
Sunnyvale-based Silicon Graphics (SGI) said late Thursday that the firm has cut 225 positions, or roughly 15 percent of the frim's workforce, as part of a plan to reduce operating costs. According to the maker of computer hardware, the move is part of a response to the global recession. SGI said the cuts include a number of executive and senior level positions.
