MobiTV Adds CBS
Emeryville-based MobiTV said today that the firm has inked a deal with CBS Mobile, to bring a number of popular CBS television shows to mobile phones. MobiTV--which is backed by Adobe, Gefinor Ventures, Hearst Corp., Menlo Ventures, Oak Investment Partners, and Redpoint Ventures--said that it will deliver full length episodes and clips from CBS Mobile, with content from such title as "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Numb3rs," "CSI: NY," and "The Young and the Restless." Financial details of the arrangement were not disclosed. The CBS episodes will be available the day after broadcast on CBS, and will be available through MobiTV's AT&T Wireless and Sprint offerings.
