Arcxis Biotechnologies Gains Series B
Pleasanton-based Arcxis Biotechnologies, which is developing biomedical devices, said Friday that the firm has completed the first close of a Series B funding round. Amount of the funding was not disclosed. Arcxis said that Claremont Creek Ventures led the round, which also included Kaiser Permanente Ventures and Alafi Capital. According to Arcxis, the new funding will go towards accelerating development, testing, and commercialization of its products. The firm's devices are used to isolate, identify, and characterize genes and proteins.
