Wavesat Expands Funding
Sunnyvale-based Wavesat, a manufacturer of broadband semiconductors for the wireless industry, is reporting today that it has raised around $9.5M in funding ($11.7M CAD) for the firm. The funding came from existing investors BDR Capital, BDC Capital and Multiple Capital. Wavesat's US operations are in Sunnyvale, but has headquarters in Montreal, Canada. WaveSat develops 4G wireless chips used for WiMax and XG-PHS.
