SGN, a developer of games for social networks such as Facebook and MySpace, reported Wednesday that it has hired Eric Huynh as chief technology officer and vice president of engineering. The firm said Huynh hails from Vivendi Games, which is now an operating arm of Activision Blizzard. At Vivendi, SGN noted, Huynh was CTO of worldwide studios for Vivendi Games Mobile. Before that, SGN added, he was CTO of French video game developer Coktel Studio. He was also the founding CTO for two prominent gaming software firms: mobile gaming specialist Gameloft and global gaming giant Ubisoft. SGN is a privately held firm backed by Bezos Expeditions, Columbia Capital, Founders Fund, Greylock Partners and Novak Biddle Venture Partners.
