Google Feels The Earth Shake
Mountain View-based Google said Thursday afternoon that it has added earthquake data to its search index, and is now pulling earthquake information from the US Geological Survey (USGS) when people type in a search for "earthquake" on the site. Google said it will provide information about the most recent, significant earthquakes directly from its search results page. The new search results also allow users to target searches to specific regions.
