Gemini Solar Inks Deal For Texas Plant
San Francisco-based Gemini Solar Development Company, a joint venture between Suntech Power Holdings and MMA Renewables, said last week that it has inked a deal to build a 30MW solar power plant for municipal power provider Austin Energy. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. According to Gemini, Austin Energy will enter into a 25-year, power purchase agreement (PPA) with Gemini Solar, which will own and operate the solar power plant. Gemini is a developer of solar power projects.
