Teachscape Acquires Edgenuity
San Francisco-based Teachscape Inc., a provider of professional development programs for educators, announced Monday that it has acquired Edgenuity. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Headquartered in Sunnyvale, Edgenuity develops instructional analytics software for school districts. Known as the Edgenuity Achievement Suite, the applications combine three core competencies for effective teaching in K-12 districts: curriculum, instruction and assessment. Eric Docter and Ameetha Palanki founded Edgenuity. Docter served as the startup's chief executive, while Palanki was chief accounting officer. Both will assume senior roles with Teachscape, Teachscape said.
