Quantenna Communications, a developer of wireless chipsets focused on the home networking market, said today that it has raised $13.85M in a Series C funding round. According to the firm, the round was led by Southern Cross Venture Partners, and also included prior investors Grazia Equity GmbH, Sequoia Capital, Sigma Partners and Venrock Associates. Quantenna said the funding will be used for working capital, including expansion of sales and engineering activities and for increased production of its products. Larry Marshall of Southern Cross joins the firm's board as part of the funding. The firms said it has now raised over $42M in venture capital. Quantenna's products are used for providing wireless home networking capability in set top boxes, routers, HDTV, and other consumer electronics.
