Zynga Hires Two
Social games developer Zynga reported Thursday that it has added two new hires to its executive staff. The San Francisco-based firm said Steven Lurie comes aboard as general manager of its Mobile business unit and Roy Sehgal joins up as general manager of a recently created game studio that has yet to be officially named. Both will report to Mark Pincus, Zynga's founder and chief executive officer, the company said. Zynga noted that Lurie hails from early stage venture capital firm MHS Capital. Sehgal, Zynga continued, previously served as vice president of premium games and services for MTV Networks. Zynga is a privately funded company backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, IVP, Union Square Ventures, the Foundry Group, Avalon Ventures, the Pilot Group, Reid Hoffman and Peter Thiel.
