Mashery, a publisher of hosted application programming interface management software, reported Wednesday that it has hired Roque Versace as vice president of sales. The San Francisco-based firm described Versace as a seasoned sales executive with more than 15 years of information technology-related experience. Most recently, Mashery noted, he was vice president of sales at EchoSign. Mashery added that Versace's past experience also includes roles as vice president of corporate sales for Salesforce.com and vice president of product marketing and product management for BroadVision. Established in 2006, Mashery is a privately funded company backed by First Round Capital, Formative Ventures, The Accelerator Group, .406 Ventures and various angel investors.
