Azul Gains European Insurance Customer
Mountain View-based Azul Systems, a developer of server appliances for deploying Java applications, announced today that the firm has signed Swiss health insurance agency Groupe Mutuel as a customer. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. According to Azul, Groupe Mutuel's 15 insurance companies will use its Azul Compute Appliances to scale and improve performance of its customer portal. Azul is backed by Accel Partners, Austin Ventures, Meritech Capital, Redpoint Ventures, Velocity Interactive, and Worldview Technology Partners.
