Virgin, Google Team On Cloud Computing Promotion
Virgin America and Google said this morning that the two firms are teaming for a promotion around Google's cloud application efforts, and will run a "Day in the Cloud Challenge" which will pit users against an online puzzle challenge. According to Virgin, it will offer complimentary WiFi to people on its flights on June 24th in conjunction with the online puzzle challenge, which is an effort to boost uuse of Google Apps. Financial details of the promotion were not disclosed; the winners of the challenge will gain free flights and free in-flight WiFI from Virgin America, a laptop computer, and 1 terabyte of online storage from Google.
