Cloudera, developer of the open-source application Hadoop, announced Tuesday that it has concluded a second round of venture financing led by Greylock Partners. Cloudera said that the new funding brings the company's total raised to more than $11 million in VC funding. The firm said existing investor Accel Ventures, which led the Series A effort, also participated in the follow-up funding. In a related move, Cloudera said Aneel Bhusri, a Greylock partner, has joined Cloudera's board of directors. Cloudera said its other investors include Diane Greene, Marten Mickos and Jeff Weiner. Cloudera's Hadoop software is used for cloud and parallel computing.
