Tesla Motors and founder
Elon Musk have been sued by Tesla co-founder Martin Eberhard, in a lawsuit file in the County of San Mateo. According to a
widely circulating copy of the lawsuit, Eberhard is suing Musk and Tesla over libel, slander, breach of contract, failure to pay wages, and other agreements over stock options and payments. Among elements of the suit: Eberhard claims Musk has tried to take "ownership of the idea" behind Tesla Motors, and has been "defaming and disparaging" Eberhard in media outlets such as NPR, USA Today, Newsweek, and the New York Times; and that Tesla "wrecked" his own roadster, and instead delivered a "Founder's Series" Roadster to a friend of Musk instead of Eberhard.
