Google Invests $2.6M In 23andMe
Mountain View-based Google disclosed Thursday in a regulatory filing that the firm has invested $2.6M in 23andMe, the genetic analysis firm headed by Sergey Brin's wife, Anne Wojcicki. According to Google, the investment came in 23andMe's Series B preferred stock financing, and comes on top of a $3.9M investment in 23andMe's Series A financing in May 2007, plus approximately $500,000 in additional shares in November 2007. Google said other investors in the Series B round include New Enterprise Associates.
