Santa Clara-based Nokeena Networks, a developer of software for delivering high definition video over the Internet, said today that it has raised $6.5M in a venture funding round. The new round was led by Mayfield Fund. According to Nokeena, Mayfield's Navin Chadda joins the company's board of directors. The firm said that it is the first investment of Mayfield's $395M, Fund XIII. The company also said that its existing and strategic investors participated in the round; the firm has previously raised funding from Clearstone Venture Partners and Trinity Ventures.
