Axceleon, a developer of software for managing graphical rendering farms, said today that the firm has created a commercial application which helps major 3D applications render graphics using Amazon's EC2 cloud. According to Axceleon, its EnFuzion software now integrated with EC2, to render images from software like Autodesk Maya, Autodesk 3ds Max, and Adobe After Effects. Axceleon's EnFusion software provides scheduling of graphics rendering jobs--which tend to be highly compute intensive and long running--across a network of Windows, Linux, Mac OS X, AIX or IRIX machines.
