JDSU Completes Finisar Network Tools Buy
Milpitas-based JDSU said Thursday that the firm has completes its acquisition of Finisar's Network Tools business. Finisar's Network Tools business developed storage area network (SAN) test tools and software. The deal was worth $40.6M in cash, and was announced on July 9th. JDSU said the buy will help it address the SAN test market and growth opportunities, including in Fibre Channel over Ethernet (FCoE). According to JDSU, the deal will add "mid-to-high single-digit millions of dollars" in revenue during the first quarter of its fiscal 2010.
