PubMatic: Ad Pricing Up 35 Percent
Palo Alto-based PubMatic, which provides ad optimization technology for publishers, is claiming today that industry ad pricing has increased 35% since the beginning of the year, in a possible ray of light for online publishers. Ad rates had plunged toward the end of 2008 due to the economy. Pubmatic said it has been seeing consecutive ad price growth for every month since the start of the year. The firm said the data came from over 6,000 websites, 85 percent of which are in the U.S.
