Fwix Gets Series A
San Francisco-based Fwix, a new publishing venture which combines local news content with user-contributed stories, said this morning that it has raised a Series A round of funding. Amount of the funding was not disclosed. The round came from BlueRun Ventures. Fwix said it will sift, categorize, and combine news from both bloggers, local news sources, and social media to provide local news to readers. Fwix is headed by Darian Shirazi.
