TiVo Gets $200M More From EchoStar
Alviso-based digital video recorder firm TiVo said Friday that a court has ruled that EchoStar Communications must pay the firm another $200M. TiVO said that the ruling came from the United States District Court, Eastern District of Texas, and were ordered as contempt sanctions for EchoStar's continued violation of a Court-ordered permanent injunction. The ruling brings the total payments in the case to $400M. The ruling came out of a patent infringement case against EchoStar.
