Google Ships Picasa 3.5, Adds Facial Recognition
Google has shipped Picasa 3.5, the newest version of the firm's free photo editing software. The updated software adds facial tagging into the desktop application, geolocation and integration of Google Maps for geotagging photos, and other features. Google had been offering its face recognition and tagging in its online Web Albums, but until now had not offered similar capabilities in the desktop app. The new software runs on both PC and Macs.
