Forte Design Systems Buys Arithmatica
San Jose-based Forte Design Systems said yesterday that it has acquired Arithmatica Ltd., a provider of synthesis tools based in the United Kingdom. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Arithmatica's flagship product is CellMath Designer, software used for datapath synthesis in semiconductor design, which is used to improve performance and lower power consumption for datapath-intensive design blocks.
