Palo Alto-based Ooma released its Ooma Telo today, a new device which the firm says will offer free home phone service for people with broadband Internet. According to Omma, the new Ooma Telo device offers caller ID, call waiting, and 911 services. The new product retails for $249.99. Ooma also said that it would be offering a premium service called Ooma Premier, which will add enhanced voicemail, call screening, and other features to the firm's phone service.
