UTStarcom, Starent Settle Patent Dispute
Alameda-based UTStarcom and Starent Networks said Thursday that the two firms have agreed to settle all legal disputes between the two companies. The firm said that Starent will make a one-time payment worth $3.5M, and will receive a perpetual, royalty-free license to UTStarcom's patents. The settlement will result in dismissal of two lawsuits between the firms.
