Link_A_Media Gets $18M More
Santa Clara-based Link_A_Media, a developer of systems-on-a-chip technology for the data storage industry, announced today that it has raised $18M in a Series C funding round. The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, and also included ITOCHU Technology Ventures, Keynote Ventures, SunAmerica Ventures and un-named strategic partners. Link_A_media said it added Chris Schaepe of Lightspeed to its board as part of the funding. Link_A_Media's SoC products are used for increasing density and reliability of data storage on both hard disk drives and solid state disks.
