Microchip Biotechnologies Gains $18.1M
Pleasanton-based Microchip Biotechnologies, a developer of scientific equipment for sample processing in the life sciences and applied sciences area, announced today that it has raised $18.1M in a Series B financing. The round was led by Domain Associates, and also included Samsung Ventures, Western Technology Investment, Rona Syndicates LLC, and In-Q-Tel, as well as un-named, individual investors. Domain's Jim Blair and Samsung Ventures' Bill Byun join the board as part of the funding.
