Google Updates Translation Tools
Mountain View-based Google updated its translation tools today, saying that the Google Translate service now translates text as you type, allows users to get romanization of foreign language, and new text-to-speech of English translations. The firm said that the romanization--which turns foreign characters into their phonetic equivalents in English--works for all non-Roman languages except Hebrew, Arabic, and Persian.
