DisplayLink, a developer of semiconductors and software for transmitting graphics over USB, Wireless USB, and Ethernet connections, said today that it has landed $8M in venture capital and named a new CEO. The Series C funding came from Atlas Venture, Balderton Capital, DAG VEntures, and DFJ Espirit. The firm said that Craig Ensley, formerly the President and COO of Peregrine Semiconductor, has been named CEO and Chairman of the firm's board. Ensley has also served at Cirrus Logic, Crystal Semiconductor, and Rockwell International.
