Oracle Completes Sun Microsystems Buy
Redwood Shores-based Oracle announced this morning that it has finally completed its acquisition of Sun Microsystems. The firm also said the combination of its local entities worldwide will proceed according to local laws. The completion of the acquisition comes nine months after Oracle initially announced its acquisition of Sun, initially worth $5.6 billion, in April of 2009, and after a number of regulatory hurdles from both the U.S. and the European Commission.
