Hooked Media Spawns Yoo-Mee
San Francisco-based Hooked Media Group, a social gaming firm which is backed by USVP and Altos Ventures, said today that it has launched a new online gaming site called Yoo-Mee. The firm said the new site is targeted at casual gamers, and will allow people to play, compete, and discuss those casual games. The new site includes score keeping, virtual currency, and connections to social media sites. Hooked Media has raised $4.5M in venture funding.
