San Francisco-based
hi5, which operates an online site focused on social entertainment and gaming, said Wednesday afternoon that it has acquired
Big Six, a Texas developer of social games. Financial terms of the deal were not announced. hi5 said it would hire on founders Kevin Gliner, Monty Kerr, and Chad Hansing, and relocate the firm's team from Austin to its headquarters in San Francisco. Big Six provides technology in the area of payment processing, fraud detection, and its own social gaming platform.
